Crash Recovery

Crash Recovery is a wonderful extension that saves Firefox exactly as you left it when Firefox happens to crash. When you turn on Firefox again, Crash Recovery asks if you would like to have it go back to the way it was before it crashed. It worked beautifully and perfectly for me each and every time. It is a great tool for anyone who doesn't want to lose their work.

Coincidentally, while I was writing this post, Firefox crashed. No problem for me. Crash Recovery opened up each and every tab that I had put up and none of the text that I was typing at the time was gone.

Download Crash Recovery.

Firefox 1.5 Has Arrived

Yes, the wait is over. Firefox 1.5 is finally available. Many new features along with improved older features make this the best Firefox yet. Since Firefox makes it easy to bring your favorites and settings, you can start surfing the web in no time! For more information, and to download, click on the Firefox button in the sidebar. There is little improvement from the older versions and mixed reviews. Personally, I think it is much better and I love moving the tabs around. Plus, you can update very easily, no complicated steps or anything. Just download and install the new version, and you're ready to go. It takes a little while for all your extensions to be updated (Firefox does it, or you can do it manually) but updating is worth it. Try this new version, and if you're not satisfied, you can always uninstall and get the older version back (I wouldn't recommend it).

Full-Size

If you want to make Firefox full size, hit F11. Though, if you have Windows, you wont't see the start bar, and won't be able to switch to other programs. I don't know about Macs (but if someone does know, please leave a comment). You also won't see the task bar in Fireox.

New Google Toolbar

There is a new Google toolbar out there for Firefox users. I haven't tried it out yet, since I'm using Firefox 1.5 (because it's in beta, and can't have the extensions running on it). You can go here to find out what new things are on the toolbar. There's word translator and spell check, and much more! Of course, you get the usual page rank, search box, and auto fill. So if you want to download the Google Toolbar for Firefox, you can click here.

Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 (Deer Park)

As part of Mozilla Firefox Project, you can download the Firefox 1.5
Beta 1 (Deer Park), which is now available.

This is the first Beta release of the next generation Firefox browser,
which would be release later this year. However, it is being made
available to Firefox's developers and testing community (thats us) for
compatibility testing and to solicit feedback.

You can download it at: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/

I LOVE this new version. At first glance there it doesn't seem new, but then you notice new things. Now you can move tabs in any order that your little heart desires. Pop-up blocker is much better (remember you occasionally got a pop-up on Firefox, now that doesn't even happen). And, it gets even better for Mac users. That's pretty much all I can tell you. Don't just take my word for it, download it.

Firefox 1.0.6

A newer version of Firefox is here. It looks exactly the same but it has more security features according to Mozilla. Installing a new version is a breeze. Just download Firefox (by following the link on the sidebar which says: Take Back the Web) and just double-click on the install icon. It's that easy. And the next time you click on the Firefox icon, it'll be automatically 1.0.6. All your extensions, layouts, themes, etc. will all be there exactly where you put them.
